About the Artist

I love painting in oils for their feel and texture. I use a palette knife to create a thick layer of paint and flat blocks of color. Then I use smaller brushes for details.
My background in printmaking has affected my style, in the way that I layer color and create each composition. The years I lived in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, and Texas have inspired my subject matter and interest in landscape, farms, farmhouses, ranches, and animals. A piece may not speak to everyone, but there will be someone out there who is moved and inspired and that is the magic.
I am available for commissions and have created many custom paintings for designers, local businesses, galleries, and private clients.
I studied printmaking and painting at
Illinois Wesleyan University - BFA
University of Michigan- MFA
I have been an assistant art conservator for several years working on the restoration of murals, including:
Ridglea Theater, Fort Worth TX 2012
Fair Park, Dallas, TX 2000-2001
Allen County Courthouse, Fort Wayne IN 1995-1998
